My first post here.

I guess this is the way to get this started.

I’ve been thinking about doing something like this for a while. I definitely have opinions on how to make our cities desirable places to live. I’m going to concentrate primarily, on Washington, DC, and the surrounding suburbs. I’m going to concentrate my writings on the following subjects, but I might stray from time to time. Those subjects are Public Transportation, Affordable Housing, Quality Education and Crime. Even though I’m going to write from a conservative point of view, I welcome comments from other conservatives, moderates and liberals. I’m hoping that we can all find some common ground in our quests to make our cities the vibrant and exciting, and affordable places that they were at one time. Of course, our cities have expanded out to include the inner ring suburbs, and in some areas, the middle ring suburbs too. You have town centers springing up in the middle ring and outer ring suburbs as well.

We are in a perfect time right now to sit down with each other, roll up our sleeves, and get to work fixing the problems that we have in our urban and suburban areas. Things are never going to be perfect, but we can set our goals, work together, and do the best we can to reach those goals. Let us begin!
